Philadelphia Area Alliance of Diverse Chambers of Commerce Create Coalition

This coalition is a formal partnership between the African American Chamber of Commerce of Pennsylvania, New Jersey and Delaware; the Asian American Chamber of Commerce of Greater Philadelphia; the Greater Philadelphia Hispanic Chamber of Commerce; and the Independence Business Alliance, Greater Philadelphia's LGBTQ+ Chamber of Commerce. The chambers will work together to enhance economic growth in their communities and increase organization efficiency.

University of Pennsylvania's Fueling Business Growth Initiative

The program leverages Penn’s purchasing power to support the growth of diverse businesses—and subsequently the Philadelphia economy—by engaging with local, minority, LGBTQ+, women-owned businesses, veterans, and businesses owned by people with disabilities.

Collaborative increases opportunities for small, Black-and brown-owned businesses

The Diverse Procurement Collaborative was created through Philadelphia Chamber of Commerce's Recharge & Recover campaign to help more companies increase the diversity of their supplier networks. Part of this initiative seeks to build a strong community of business leaders who are committed to diverse procurement practices.

The City of Philadelphia supports minority, women and disabled-owned businesses

Each year, the City aims to reach 35 percent participation from diverse businesses to fulfill its need for goods and services. The Office of Economic Development ensure this happens by registering minority, women, and disabled-owned businesses; monitoring contracts; and creating alliances and partnerships.
